Sephora Waterproof Eyeliner Pencils

I like putting eyeliner in my waterline (the line above your lower eyelashes underneath your eyeball), but it’s hard for eyeliner to stay here unless it is truly waterproof. I have spent a lot of time searching for an inexpensive but effective option, and the best one I’ve found so far is the Sephora Waterproof Eyeliner Pencil.

These eyeliners are only $12, and they last for quite a while. Sephora also sells a huge variety of shades. They truly do last all day but are easy to remove with eye makeup remover. They also stay put and do not migrate underneath my eye. Overall, this is just the perfect retractable pencil eyeliner for underneath the eye. They work okay on the upper lash line as well, but my preference is still liquid for that part of the eye.

Caudalie Vinosource Moisturizing Sorbet

I haven’t been blogging recently because I had a period of illness combined with a busy school schedule, but I’m excited to be back online. Winter is almost over, but it’s still causing dry skin. I recently tried a moisturizer to see if it could combat the dryness: Caudalie Vinosource Moisturizing Sorbet.

This product can be purchased from Sephora for $39. I will say that it smells amazing (like grapeseed) and it does sink into the skin really quickly. It also hasn’t broken out my skin at all. Still, I feel like this would do better for the summer when my skin isn’t quite so dry. As it stands, I felt like this didn’t do enough to completely eliminate my dry winter skin. Still, I do look forward to using it in the summer. Perhaps someone with oily skin would find this to be a good moisturizer for them year-round. It does moisturize without making the skin feel slick or greasy. I can’t say that it’s changed the overall appearance or texture of my skin. It just moisturizes temporarily.

Fresh Sugar

While winter is almost over, and it’s been a mild one in Cincinnati, I did not remain unscathed when it came to chapped lips. Dry lips are an unfortunate part of life, but there are so many great products on the market. Unfortunately, I’ve recently started to feel like the Fresh Sugar brand is just way too overhyped.

The Fresh Sugar lip treatments come in a variety of shades. There are even clear shades. They retail for $24 at Sephora. I’ve purchased several full-sized ones and have received small sample ones as well.

I’m very torn when it comes to the product. On one hand, it does moisturize lips pretty well. I also really like the variety of shades, and it is a great scent for a lip product. Still, for $24, I would prefer for these to last longer. I do feel like I have to reapply them way too often and I haven’t been impressed by the lasting power of the colors. But still, the worst thing is that the product seems to break so easily. I’ve had six of these now and the same thing has happened to each one. At some point when I’m applying them, the product starts to come apart so that the lip product gets smooshy. It’s hard to describe, but imagine how lipstick looks when it’s been left in a hot car for too long. It melts and becomes impossible to apply because the product keeps breaking down and migrating when you’re trying to use it. I feel like this has happened with every tube of this product that I’ve received, even though none of them have been left in a warm environment. I feel like I just waste too much of this product and it becomes too hard to apply without smooshing it everywhere. There are just way better lip moisturizing products out on the market, so I won’t be giving these another try.

Dior Addict Wonderful

It’s no secret that I love Dior products, especially lip products. There’s just something so luxurious about them. Sure, the name is iconic, but the quality of the products is still very impressive. I had a lot of luck with Dior Addict Lipstick when I wanted a bold lip, so I decided to try another in a softer shade.

I went with the shade Wonderful, which can be purchased from Sephora for $35. I just love how effortlessly it slides across my lips. The pigmentation is just perfect, and I love that there’s just a hint of glitter. I think that lipstick really completes a look. There’s something about it that pulls everything together, and so far, I’ve never been let down by a Dior lip product.

I will say that the shade Wonderful, which is a lighter shade, does not last quite as long as some of the darker Dior shades. It does fade, especially if you are eating, but the nice thing is that it fades very evenly. It’s also easy to apply that reapplying it hopefully won’t feel like much of a chore.

Overall, I’ve yet to find a Dior lip product that I disliked, and if you want to splurge on a lipstick, I definitely recommend the Dior Addict ones.
