Make Up Forever Smoothing Primer

I am on the quest for the perfect primer. I feel like I’ve tried so many that were just okay, but I haven’t found one that I’ve purchased more than once. I did recently get a deluxe sample of the Make Up For Ever Skin Step 1 Equalizer Primer from Sephora, and I was impressed enough that I think I’ll be purchasing the full-sized container soon.

Make Up Forever has a ton of these primers, and they address different skin concerns. The one that I used was Smoothing Primer for large pores and fine lines. I don’t really have large pores or fine lines, but I did love how smooth this made my face. It really made my skin ready for makeup. I could definitely tell a difference on days when I used this because the makeup seemed to go on so much more evenly and lasted longer.

I have found that a lot of primers break out my skin, but I noticed no additional acne during the weeks that I used up this product! That’s definitely a huge plus. Now, I just have to decide if I’m going to buy the full-sized Smoothing Primer or if I want to try out the Redness Correcting Primer instead, since that’s more of a skin concern that I have. Has anyone had any experience with this range of primers? What did you think?

Thanks for reading!

  1. Ohhhh I am also a primer junky… What are you trying to solve for? I have been repurchased the Too Faced hangover RX many times, but right now I am actually liking the Milk Blur Stick, and Nyx Pore Filler
